Walking Worthy of Your Calling: The apostle Paul urges the church in Ephesus in his letter to them to walk in a manner worthy of the call upon their lives.
In our day, Paul’s invitation still rings out to a church called to be salt and light in a still broken world. Together we will take some time to examine the letter to the Ephesians and posture our lives towards our calling in Christ.
Kyle, with his wife and three kids, lives in Airdrie, Alberta and serves as Discipleship Pastor at Living Springs Christian Fellowship. Kyle’s awe of Jesus is fuelled by constant adventure in study that he loves to invite others into. God has graciously given us: Jesus as our Saviour, his Spirit within us, the scriptures to guide, and a world full of beauty. Kyle’s hope is to see people participate in the fullness of all we have in Christ.

Speakers: Mark and Petra Anderson
What if prayer wasn’t one more thing we have to do every day, but simply desiring awareness and experiencing interaction with God throughout the day … eating, sleeping, shopping, working, walking, etc.? Deep down, aren’t we longing to actually encounter God and be transformed, not just be praying to Him? Join us for this relaxed and spacious weekend of honest sharing around prayer struggles and practical approaches for any believer to experience God anytime, anywhere. We’ll meet God in Scripture, in music, on a walk, over a meal, in stillness, in lament, and in thanksgiving … all in the beauty and welcoming hospitality of Barnabas. All that is required is a humble heart and a willing spirit.
Mark and Petra are Spiritual Directors to professionals, entrepreneurs, ministry leaders, and students: everyday followers of Jesus sprinkled around the world who are longing to see God’s Kingdom come. With backgrounds in engineering and teaching, they served together as the Pastoral Team at Marineview Chapel, Vancouver for 17 years before turning full-time to coaching and spiritual direction.
Mark and Petra love helping people find their role in God’s work. They facilitate encounters with the Holy Spirit by creating space for believers with full lives to recognize His Loving Presence with them and respond with deeper surrender and trust. They are based in Vancouver, with grown children and a growing crew of grandchildren. They are contemplatives who engage life fully with work, rest, and play … especially paddlesports and supporting many international justice ministries.

God’s Redemptive Story: from ashamed and abused to accepted in the Beloved
This retreat is designed for women from a church background who have or are living in an abusive relationship with someone perceived as an authority figure. This could include a spouse, a parent or other family member, or someone in a role of spiritual authority.
In a place of warm welcome and safety, women will be encouraged to reflect on their beliefs about who God is and who they are, and to move towards the healing and hope of their true identity as the Beloved of God, their Redeemer.
Our facilitator, Nancy Shepherd, will share from her story of emerging from a long abusive relationship into healing, freedom and joyful hope. Her passion is to help women understand the true nature of the God who loves them, and make space for God’s Spirit to heal and transform, and lead them into greater life.
Bring your comfy clothes, bathing suit for the hot tub, and good walking shoes if you want to spend time exploring our walking and hiking paths!

Speaker: Carson Pue
Cost
Led by Dr Carson Pue, this retreat is for people over 55 who are anticipating or have found themselves in a new season of life.
Here we often encounter both challenges and joys of an “empty nest”, adult children, grandchildren, while sometimes wrestling through life’s purpose and values when career and family-raising are more in the rearview mirror.
Join others in similar life stages to think, learn and reflect together about how to live well and on-purpose here and now, and what it means to find Jesus in the midst of our journey.
This is a retreat we are doing in partnership with the Mark Centre. Led by Jamie and Donna Winship and best-selling author Paul Young (The Shack), Wonderfully Made is a 3-day retreat where we’ll explore an intimate process of facing our fears and embracing our true identity.
You will have space to listen and reflect alone and visit with others. You’ll hear stories of how people all over the world are tuning into their true identity.
Book on this retreat through the Mark Centre website.
