Serve & Grow is a weekend we look forward to every season—it’s a work- and dinner-party; a family reunion that’s open to all.
There are many ways to get involved, but at its heart the weekend is about linking arms with our Year-Round Team. Together we’ll tend to our grounds, care for guest spaces, tackle one-time projects, and of course, wash dishes!
Expect meaningful connection, devotional times led by good friends-of-Barnabas Dan & Andrea Heavenor, hearty and delicious meals, and plenty of opportunity to share in the restorative beauty of Jesus.

DAN & ANDREA HEAVENOR
Dan Heavenor, a former pastor, has been a Spiritual Director for over 20 years. In addition to offering spiritual direction, he also drives a city transit bus. He has always been curious about the ways Jesus works in people's lives — his own included.
Andrea Heavenor is an artist and a trained nurse. In recent years, her work has been providing prayer ministry for women affected by abuse and trauma.
They are longtime friends of Barnabas, having led many retreats and Summer Family Weeks over the years. We’re thrilled to have them speaking this weekend!
