Beauty has always been at the heart of Barnabas Landing. In recent years we’ve felt prompted to make space for those called to cultivate beauty: artists.

The world often forces us to one of two poles. At one end, art becomes content that we must ceaselessly produce. On the other, creativity becomes a lofty luxury that sits backseat to the cares of life. We want to cultivate a different vision, one rooted in God’s character. Scripture shows us a Father who stops to delight in what He makes, a Son who creatively glorifies the Father every day, and a Spirit who lets us in on both their power and their friendship.

Together with pastor/poet Lance Odegard and painter/business owner Victoria Rose Park, we’ll explore a different way of making. Some call it Devotional Creativity, Redemptive Art or Culture Care. Whatever you call it and wherever you are on your journey, we invite you into a conversation that is both theological and practical. Come away, and let’s cultivate a creativity rooted in the delightful friendship of God.
